Volume 1./a of Gardian Cello Tutorials is an initial, first-year introductory syllabus. It presents all theoretical and technical knowledge necessary to lay the foundation for cello playing in eighteen chapters. Information segments are gradually built upon each other through experiential musical material.

The clear methodological structure and the diverse variety of music make the work invested in learning to play the cello a joyful and gratifying experience from the beginning.

In addition to the tasks that develop the playing skills of the right and left hands (detachet, legato, portato, martele, extended positions), the volume also contains knowledge of basic music theory (note values and rhythm formulas), providing an independent guide for both teachers and students, regardless of age and previous musical training.
